The new design is now photographed
Finally, the new designs are photographed so that they can have their first showing. I'm quite happy with the grapevine pattern border on the amber coloured bird. The blue appears quite pale but is much bluer when the piece is held up in front of natural light. These are ready for the living crafts show at Hatfield House which runs from the 9th to the 12th of May. I'll be there as part of Herts Visual Arts (HVAF) on Saturday 11th May. http://www.livingcrafts.co.uk/ Hope to see plenty of people there.

Time to photograph some glass...off to the shed.
Ironically, this post does not contain any pictures apart from the shed, but thankfully, the sun is shining so some new designs that I have been working on can finally get photographed properly and be put on the website. While it can be fairly easy to take photographs of glass work on top of a light box, the end result can be rather flat and does not really do justice to how a piece will actually look when someone has commissioned and bought it and has it in their home. I like to take a mixture of close up detailed photographs as well as outdoor since the colours of the glass never really show their true colours... so to speak ... until real sunlight hits them. So, it is off to the shed and I promise to post some photographs very soon.
