Herts Visual Arts Summer exhibition at Harpenden.

Waiting to go to the dentists so what better way to take my mind off it than by updating the glass blog.  I finally managed to get some pieces organised to display at the Herts Visual Arts summer exhibition.  It was such a great opportunity to take part along with some of the other artists across the Hertfordshire area that I didn't want to miss out and I will certainly be looking forward to going across and seeing all of the work that will be on display.

This is one of my pieces that will be there, the framed version of the thrush singing in a tree with a border in the style of a log cabin quilt. (Oak frame by Sullys of Penryn cheers Pete) I loved making the borders on this, it is easy to get carried away and important that I kept checking to make sure if I added dots around the edges, I did the same on all of the pieces since once fired... there was no having another go.

Although I have been a member of HVAF for over a year now, this will be my first exhibition with the group and I'm really keen that plenty of people get to see the exhibition when so much effort has gone into getting everything prepared.  So if you are near Harpenden 27th or 28th July between 9.00am and 4.00pm, or are available for the private viewing Friday 26 July 6-9pm then do drop by.
